Carbon disclosure project

We’re about much more than ;car insurance. In 2010, Intact Insurance filed our first response to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a global initiative to accelerate solutions to climate change by putting relevant information at the heart of business, policy and investment decisions. Intact Insurance’s CDP response is our systematic initiative to identify and measure our greenhouse gas emissions and to share this information.

Around the world 2,500 organizations in some 60 countries now measure and disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies through CDP. Disclosure allows organizations to track their performance towards achieving reduction targets relative to their industry peers. This data is made available for use by a wide audience including institutional investors, corporations, policymakers and their advisors, public sector organizations, government bodies, academics and the public.
