Step by step: Activate my Drive directly on the Intact Insurance App
If you have any questions or any problems activating my Drive, contact your insurance representative.

Step 1
Open the Intact Insurance App and log in to your profile.
Open the App store to get the app and open it

Click on “I’m interested” to begin activating your personalized premium and access your helpful features. Note that you can always activate the features at any time on the Overview tab, in the “Included features” section, by selecting “Activate”.

You will need to agree to my Drive Terms and conditions. Mark the box at the bottom of the screen "I agree to the Terms of Use” and select "Activate". Once you’ve read the Terms and conditions, confirm your choice by selecting "I agree" at the bottom of the page.

Confirm your cellphone number.

You will then receive a 6-digit security code via text message. Enter the code and tap on “Submit”.

To properly assess your driving habits, the app needs to access your phone’s motion sensors and location. Click “Continue” to accept. You must always allow access to your location, even when the app isn’t active.

Specify your notification preferences for Crash assist and Weather alerts and click “Save”.

That’s it! You’re now ready to use all of the app’s helpful free features and benefit from a personalized premium based on your driving habits at your renewal.

my Drive evaluates your driving habits via the Intact Insurance App. At your renewal, you can obtain a personalized premium for your car insurance. Our app uses your phone's GPS and motion sensors to assess your driving habits.
Safe drivers can save up to 25%* on their auto insurance premium, whereas drivers who take more risks could see their auto insurance premiums increase by up to 25%*. All principal drivers on your policy can participate in my Drive. For more details, contact your broker.
To be eligible, you’ll need an iPhone with iOS 12 or higher, or an Android version 7.0 or higher. Depending on your model, the performance of my Drive may vary.
Download the Intact Insurance App for free from the App Store or Google Play. Create your profile and agree to my Drive terms and conditions in the app. If you already have the app, depending on your smartphone’s model and settings, it may update automatically, or you may need to update it.
Don't worry! Download the app again and follow the steps to activate my Drive. you can always activate the features at any time on the Overview tab, in the « Included features » section, by selecting “Activate”. You’ll then be able to continue recording your trips, and your driving history will be saved. Don’t forget, if we’re unable to record your trips, this could affect adjustments to your insurance premium.
