Frequently asked questions

You have questions about the my Drive program?

Access the FAQ below, we’re here to help!

For the purposes of these FAQs, “you” and “your” refer to any principal driver of a private passenger vehicle, whether or not they are the policyholder or a named insured, who enrols in my Drive and who meets all the eligibility criteria (“Enrolled Drivers”).

Joining my Drive is quick and easy! Simply contact your broker or insurance representative. For more information visit All principal drivers registered for my Drive under the same policy will receive a text message (SMS) with instructions to activate the program. Once you activate your account, accept the Terms of Use, and give the Intact Insurance App access to certain features on your smartphone – you are ready to start driving!

Not all principal drivers need to enroll in my Drive and Adjustments will only be applied to the premium of the vehicle(s) with Enrolled Driver(s). Your premium could decrease as much as 25% with safe driving behaviour or increase as much as 25% for those who take risks on the road.

Keep in mind, once you've enrolled in my Drive, even if you decide to unenroll we may still continue to use your driving behaviour captured by my Drive to adjust your premium. However, you can join again as long as you still meet my Drive's eligibility criteria. If Intact Insurance ended your participation in my Drive for misuse of the app, you could only join again at Intact Insurance’s discretion. Please contact your broker or insurance representative to discuss re-enrolment.
