In November 2015, we reaffirmed our commitment to fostering innovative solutions to help Canadians adapt to increasing extreme weather with the creation of the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (ICCA).

Hosted at the University of Waterloo, the ICCA will test and research new ideas and concepts in climate adaptation, as well as develop practical and cost-effective climate change adaptation practices for use by governments, businesses, and Canadians.

The ICCA will also educate Canadians on how best to protect themselves from the impacts of changing climate and severe weather such as extreme rainfall, hail, wind, fire and ice storms. Find out more.
