How to know if being an insurance agent is right for me?
To be happy in this position, you must enjoy interacting with clients over the phone, giving them advice, and dealing with challenges. Not sure? We invite you to apply for an agent position. A member of our team will then contact you to discuss in detail the overall profession and specific tasks of being an insurance agent, and what working for La Turquoise Agency offers.
What are the eligibility criteria for paid training?
To be eligible for paid training, you must have at least one of the following qualifications: a high school diploma (DES), a diploma of vocational studies (DVS), an attestation of equivalence of secondary V studies (AESS), a high school equivalency diploma (CEES) or a high school equivalence certificate issued by the Quebec Ministry of Immigration. We also prefer three years of full-time experience in customer service or sales.
How does paid training work?
Supervised, structured training is provided for the first four weeks. In the fifth week, you will write the exams at the Autorité des marchés financiers. Over the following weeks, you will take product and software training and then work as an intern.
Will I have to work evenings or Saturdays?
At La Turquoise Agency, agents work one evening a week and Saturdays in rotation.
