How long will it take to download the video?

This depends on the speed of your modem or high-speed connection, the amount of Internet traffic at the time that you choose to download, and the size (which version) of the video you select. The larger files are of better image quality and are more complete than the smaller ones, but without a cable connection, it could take over five hours to download. Select the version that fits your needs and your computer and connection capacity. The download times in the chart are only estimates for cable modems and regular 56k telephone modems. Extrapolate from there.

These tables will be updated and expanded to include more versions to make the video available on nearly any system. The file sizes will also be greatly reduced. Whether the video plays on your system or not, check back in about a week for videos with upgraded quality and compatibility.

For most users on IBM compatible PCs the series of mpegs below are the best choices for downloading. To view these, you need no special software, just Windows Media Player, which comes with Windows 9x. To be sure, however, you might try downloading the smallest version first and make sure that it plays before attempting the longer ones.

If you do not use a PC, you can probably still view the video by downloading one of the Mac Quicktime versions below. Quicktime will also play in Windows Media Player and RealPlayer, depending on the version and the plug-ins installed. Depending on which player and version you are using, there may be some compatibility problems and loss of quality.
